Aboriginal Blanket Project

This quilt was an artistic collaboration involving all staff and students at Dormick, with quilter, Wenda McIntosh.  Students first learned about Aboriginal pictographs, and how they tell a story or people’s history. Students then chose a symbol that represented themselves ie; friend, leader etcetera, and used fabric paint to paint it on a square.  Wenda then stitched the squares together to make the beautiful quilt you see hanging in our front foyer.
